High Speed Chase

High Speed Chase Ends In Crash

POSTED: 7:22 pm CDT July 24, 2008
UPDATED: 7:43 pm CDT July 24, 2008

A driver who refused to pull over for a traffic stop in Edmond led police on a chase into Oklahoma City Thursday, police said.

Edmond officers said they tried pulling the man over because he had a broken turn signal. Instead of stopping, he sped off at more than 100 miles per hour, police said.

KOCO cameras caught part of the chase as the cars sped past.

The chase went on for miles until a patrol car bumped the driver, causing a crash near Northeast 36th Street and Grand Boulevard in Oklahoma City, police said. That's where officers took the man into custody.

They have not released his name.
