NEWCASTLE, Okla. -- The city of Newcastle imposed a 72-hour outdoor watering ban Thursday.City leaders said the ban is necessary to make sure there’s enough water to fight fires and maintain water pressure.The ban, which began at 5 p.m., runs through 5 p.m. Sunday.
The city said no one should be doing any outdoor watering until that time.
