Roseanne Barr Vilifies Jolie, Pitt On Blog

Comedian Claims Star Couple Pretends To Care About Humanity

UPDATED: 11:39 am CDT August 19, 2008

Comedian Rosanne Barr apparently has a huge issue with Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt.

In a recent entry on her blog titled "Jon Voight," Barr went off on the Oscar-winning actor (and effectively on his estranged daughter, Jolie, and Pitt): "Jon Voight, your evil spawn Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about $40 million a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away ($3 million) of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity, as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the Earth even more."

The incendiary entry (which includes excerpts too graphic to reprint here) contained several grammatical errors. Barr also criticizes Jolie for purportedly liking Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (as well as Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama), but not being able to decide who to endorse.

Barr wrote, "Aren't you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the Republican party's worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades since Reagan?"

Barr makes references to Pitt and Jolie's adopted children throughout the blog entry, including the comment, "It might be good for your Asian and African children's self-esteem to know you support a brown man for the leader of the free world."

In the blog entry, Barr also rails against the current administration's military policy, and takes a shot at Jolie's use of guns in movies.

"Now go back to making your movies about women who love to handle big guns that shoot hundreds of people to death," Barr wrote.

Barr is no stranger to stirring up controversy with her blog. A year ago she fired back against allegations that she was blogging while drunk.

She claimed errant posts on her official Web site were the work of an intern who hacked into the page.
